Tamarind
Tamarind is a tree from the Fabaceae
family, and its scientific name is Tamarindus indica. The tamarind
tree is indigenous to Africa, especially the Sudan, however it has
spread to all most all the tropical countries in the world. Tamarind is a delectable, sweet, sour
organic product that has a mixed bag of applications, both for
medicinal and culinary purposes. It is a medium-sized evergreen
tree with fruits that have got chestnut shells. Inside is a sticky,
meaty, delicious mash, which is the tamarind paste. Here where you find
the sweet and sharp fruit.
It should also be emphasized that doctors do not recommend tamarind during pregnancy and during breastfeeding period.
